Ofcourse those tollbooths everrwheye will house future hardened checkpoint bunkers and police details, when the police state is fully consumated. They are also doing road construction everrwheye, funny how those are the only jobs the gov created except for enforcement and beaurcratic posts. This road construction is for the deployment of military detachments when martial law is enacted. (Tanks and heavy gear on all your streets)
You are spot on in your analysis if this movie!!! It is a great film with a power that is equal and ineded surpasses the powerful effect such films as Gone With The Wind, Forrest Gump, and The Ten Commandments have had on me. Who cares if it is factual. The film’s director could have used the tedious academic truths to boring effect, but rather chose the exhilarating facts of fancy. A clever mind once wrote, between two truths, the falser is the truer. Emmerich has stated personally that the film contains an emotional truth and I agree. Fact finding is not the job of movie making. Shake-speare himself altered history in his plays for dramatic effect. Anonymous is a joy to behold. I could not find one fault or dislike in the piece. I even saw it twice in one week and was moved to tears on both occasions by its powerful effects. There is much in the movie which is Oscar worthy to my eyes. Yours is a fine review, one of the best written that I’ve read.
